
Midway College Business Professor Teresa Ann Isaac was one of 150 guests of NASA at the final shuttle launch. On July 7, Isaac met with Bill Gerstenmaier, Associate Administrator for Space Operations Mission, Astronauts Mike Massimino and Doug Wheelock, and International Space Station Program Employees Tracy Thumm and Justin Kugler. Isaac was taken to the launch pad to watch the retraction of the Rotating Service Structure and then she toured the Vehicle Assembly Building. On July 8, Isaac met with Astronauts Tony Antonelli and Bob Crippen, and watched the launch of Atlantis from the media area.

Today Midway College reported its year end enrollment figures for the 2010-2011 academic year. The College reached a total unduplicated enrollment of 2,149 students. This is an all-time high for the College and it even surpasses the goal the College set for itself of reaching 2,000 students by the end of the academic year.
